Financial assistance provides support to low income residents of Cass County. We determine eligibility for public assistance programs such as Medical Assistance (MA), Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), and Minnesota Family Investment Program (MFIP). These services have specific program guidelines that must be met to receive them. You must be within the monthly income guidelines and asset limits. To see if you are eligible and qualify, you will need to apply and provide verification of the information you report on the application.

Assistance is available in person or by phone Monday through Friday from 8 am to 4:30 pm To see if you may be eligible for our programs, use the Eligibility Screening Tool provided by Bridge to Benefits. Applications can be completed online at MNBenefits for nutrition assistance, child care assistance, and emergency assistance. Applications for health insurance can be completed through MNSURE.
Persons must fill out a formal application in order to have eligibility determined for the programs listed below.
